I'm in the top quarter of a very competitive school with a 3.75 weighted GPA (that will likely go up with the inclusion of AP classes next year). I'm in all Honors and AP classes, and I'm currently undertaking an independent study of Mandarin Chinese. I'm involved in my school's Microcredit club, where we make loans through Kiva.org to people in 3rd world countries.
